Detailed Report

Initial Diagnostic Overview

The ear sample tested positive for Pseudomonas aeruginosa with a high load, consistent with bacterial external otitis caused by an opportunistic Gram-negative.

Main Antibiogram Results (from the report)

  • Sensitive (S): Amikacin (MIC ≤16), Ticarcillin/Clavulanic Acid (MIC 32; indicated as “topical use” in the report)
  • Intermediate (I): Enrofloxacin (MIC 2)
  • Resistant (R): several tested molecules (e.g., various cephalosporins; other classes reported as R in the panel)

(The above data are summarized from the attached report.)

Treatment Performed

Topical ear treatment with Aloeplus® Otorì was administered for 14 days, following a continuous regimen.

Progress and Outcome

At the end of the cycle (14 days), based on subsequent check-ups/tests, the symptoms consistent with otitis were resolved and the otitis was considered clinically eliminated.

Conclusions

This case documents an external otitis caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa (heavy growth) treated topically with Aloeplus® Otorì for 14 days, with clinical resolution demonstrated by the attached follow-up examinations.
